Every Achievement in Dressmaker (And How to Unlock Them All)
I 100%'d this game so you don't have to. Here's every single achievement, ranked by difficulty, with the exact method I used to get each one.

Quick answer: which achievements are actually hard?
If you're just wondering what you're in for, here's the short version:
- Hardest: Legendary Tailor (duh, it's the final one) and Perfect Fit (surprisingly tricky)
- Most time-consuming: Style Icon (you just need to grind for rank)
- Easiest to miss: Budget Baron (you have to go out of your way for this one)
- Most frustrating: Speed Tailor (failing this one feels so bad)
Overall, I'd say this game's achievement list is pretty fair. Nothing is missable (you can always go back and get things), and nothing requires ridiculous RNG. It took me about 25 hours total, but you can probably do it faster if you're following a guide from the start.
S Tier โ Actually Difficult
These are the ones that will genuinely test you. Don't expect to get them on your first try.
Legendary Tailor
Get 5 stars on every story commission AND unlock all other achievements
How to unlock: This is the big one. The final achievement. You need two things:
- 5 stars on every single story commission (all 10 of them)
- Every other achievement in the game unlocked
My experience: This was naturally the last one I got. Crowning Glory was the hardest commission for me by far โ took 8 tries. If you're struggling with any specific commission, check out my Crowning Glory guide or use the fabric calculator to test combinations before you waste materials.
Pro tip: Save before every hard commission and reload if you don't get 5 stars. No shame. It's a single-player game.
Perfect Fit
Achieve a perfect 100 style score on any commission
How to unlock: Get 100 in the style category. Not 98, not 99 โ exactly 100.
My experience: This one drove me crazy. I kept getting 95-98 and couldn't figure out what I was missing. Turns out you need to match the style requirements almost perfectly AND have the right fabric quality.
Easiest commission to try it on: Winter Waltz. It has fewer style requirements (just Elegant + Romantic + Simple), which means fewer things to juggle. Use Silk White + Lace Cream + Tulle Ivory and nail the proportions.
What I was doing wrong: I was using three fabrics instead of focusing on 2-3 that perfectly match ALL the requirements. More fabrics โ better score.
A Tier โ Takes Some Work
These aren't necessarily hard, but they'll take some time and effort. You probably won't get them by accident.
Speed Tailor
Complete any commission in a single day
How to unlock: Accept a commission and finish sewing it before the day ends.
My experience: I failed this one 6 times before I got it. I kept trying it on hard commissions because I thought "harder = more impressive." Nope โ do it on an easy one!
The trick that made it easy:
- Buy ALL your fabric BEFORE you accept the commission
- Pick Garden Party Gown (it's 2-star, uses cheap fabrics, sews fast)
- Have your shop fully upgraded for sewing speed
- Don't stop to do anything else โ just sew
I was overcomplicating it so much. Once I tried it on Garden Party with pre-bought fabric, I got it first try.
Style Icon
Reach Master tailor rank
How to unlock: Keep completing commissions and earning reputation until you hit the Master rank.
My experience: This isn't hard โ it's just time-consuming. It's the one that took me the most total hours because you basically need to play through most of the game.
Fastest way to grind: Spam 2-3 star commissions that you can consistently get 5 stars on. Garden Party Gown is great for this โ quick, cheap, and easy to 5-star. Higher ratings = more reputation gain.
Don't waste time on: 4-5 star commissions for grinding. They take way longer and the extra reputation doesn't make up for the time investment.
Commission Crusher
Complete all story commissions
How to unlock: Beat all 10 story commissions. They don't all need to be 5 stars โ just completed.
My experience: You'll get this naturally as you play through the game. The only real roadblock is Crowning Glory at the end, but even if you get 3 stars on it, you still unlock this achievement.
If you're having trouble with the later commissions, focus on upgrading your shop first. Better fabrics and faster sewing make a huge difference.
B Tier โ Moderate Effort
You'll probably get these without too much trouble, but they might not come automatically.
Thread Master
Unlock 8 different fabrics
How to unlock: Keep upgrading your shop and progressing through the story. New fabrics unlock as you go.
My experience: I got this around mid-game without trying. If you're regularly upgrading your shop, you'll naturally unlock 8 fabrics by chapter 3 or so.
If you're stuck: Make sure you're upgrading the "Fabric Selection" option every time it's available. Some people skip it to save money, but you're just slowing yourself down.
Fabric Collector
Collect every fabric in the game
How to unlock: Unlock all fabrics. Yes, all of them.
My experience: Silk Gold was the last one I was missing โ it unlocks after the Golden Jubilee commission, which is late in the game. I spent like 2 hours wondering why I couldn't find it anywhere.
The one everyone misses: Silk Gold. If you're at 11/12 fabrics, this is almost certainly the one you're missing. Just keep playing the story โ you'll get there.
Budget Baron
Complete a commission spending less than 50% of the budget
How to unlock: Spend less than half the commission's budget on fabrics.
My experience: This is super easy once you know the trick, but I almost missed it entirely because I was always trying to use the best fabrics possible.
Easiest way: Do Summer Breeze (or any easy commission) with only cheap cotton fabrics. You'll spend like $50 on a $300 budget, easy 50%+ under. And you can still get 3-4 stars, which is totally fine โ the achievement just requires completion, not a good rating.
I did this on purpose after I beat the game, just to clean up the last few achievements.
C Tier โ Basically Free
You'll get these just by playing normally. If you don't have them yet, you will soon.
First Stitch
Complete your very first commission
How to unlock: Literally just finish the tutorial/first commission.
My experience: Got this in my first 10 minutes of playing. If you don't have this achievement... have you started the game yet?
Color Virtuoso
Satisfy 3 color requirements on a single commission
How to unlock: Find a commission with 3 color requirements and... well, satisfy them.
My experience: Masquerade Ball has 3 color requirements if I remember right. Or you can add a third color to a 2-color commission โ it counts as long as all three are above the minimum threshold.
Honestly, you'll probably get this without trying once you start using more fabrics.
Optimal unlock order (the path I took)
If you want to be efficient about it, here's the order I'd recommend going for achievements:
Tutorial. You have no choice in the matter.
Do it early on Summer Breeze with cheap cotton. Get it out of the way.
You'll get this naturally once commissions start having more requirements.
Unlock 8 fabrics. Upgrade your shop regularly and you'll hit this by mid-game.
Do this on Garden Party Gown once you have decent sewing speed upgrades.
Try for this on Winter Waltz when you have good mid-tier fabrics.
These happen naturally as you play through the game and grind for rank.
The final one. Requires everything else + 5 stars on all commissions.
Mistakes that slowed me down (don't do these)
Here's what wasted hours of my life. Learn from my suffering:
โ Trying Speed Tailor on hard commissions
Why I thought a 5-star commission would be faster to sew than a 2-star one, I'll never know. Use Garden Party Gown.
โ Not upgrading fabric selection
I hoarded money thinking "I'll upgrade later." Later never came. Just upgrade โ it pays for itself.
โ Reloading before saving
More than once I reloaded my save only to realize I hadn't saved before the commission. Devastating. Always save first.
โ Ignoring Budget Baron
I forgot this achievement existed until I was going for 100%. Could've gotten it in hour 2 instead of hour 22.
Final thoughts
Compared to a lot of games, Dressmaker's achievement list is pretty reasonable. Nothing is missable, nothing requires insane luck, and the hardest ones are at least satisfying to pull off.
If you're stuck on any specific achievement, drop a comment and I'll try to help. I spent way too long on all of them, so I've got tips for basically everything.
Good luck with your completionist journey! ๐ฏ๐งต
