How it works: Take commissions with high budgets but low requirements, use the cheapest possible fabrics that still meet the requirements, and pocket the difference.
Best commissions for this: Summer Breeze is the GOAT. $600 budget, 2 star difficulty, minimal requirements. You can easily do it for under $350 and still get 4-5 stars. That's $250+ pure profit on a super easy commission.
Pros: Decent profit per hour, easy to do while watching TV, also unlocks the Budget Baron achievement.
Cons: Still requires actually playing the game. Can't do it while AFK.
🥇 Method #1: High-Difficulty 5-Star Commissions (The Big Leagues)
How it works: Once you have good fabrics and can consistently get 5 stars, tackle the highest-reward commissions. The base reward is already high, and the 5-star bonus pushes it into the stratosphere.
Best commissions for this: Crowning Glory ($12,000 base reward) and Royal Wedding ($10,500) are the big ones. Even after subtracting fabric costs, you're looking at $5000+ profit per commission.
Pros: By far the highest profit per commission. Feels satisfying to nail a 5-star on hard content.
Cons: You need to be good at the game first. You need good fabrics (which cost money to unlock). High risk, high reward.
🎯 My Actual Money-Making Routine (Honest Version)
Okay, here's what I actually do when I need to make money quickly. I don't just pick one method — I combine them.
- Early game (first 5 hours): Grind easy commissions. Do Garden Party Gown over and over until you have $3000-4000 saved up.
- Mid game: Upgrade your shop to level 3, then start doing medium-difficulty commissions with Budget Baron strategy. Make $200-300 profit per commission, reinvest in shop upgrades.
- Late game: Once you have Silk Gold and Velvet Black, go ham on the 5-star commissions. Each one is a massive payday.
- Always: Buy every new fabric as soon as it unlocks. You'll need it eventually, and you never know when a commission will require it.
⚠️ The "Method" That Didn't Work (Don't Waste Your Time)
I tried selling fabric back to the shop for profit. Spoiler: it doesn't work. The shop buys back at a massive discount. You'll lose money every time.
