Color Virtuoso — sounds fancy, right? I thought this would be super hard until I realized there's a commission that basically gives it to you for free.
The achievement requires you to satisfy 3 color requirements in a single commission. At first I was looking at all the 2-color commissions thinking "when do you ever need 3 colors?"
Turns out, you just need to find the right commission.
💭 How I Got This Achievement
I got this on Masquerade Ball, and honestly it was kind of accidental. Let me explain.
Masquerade Ball requires red and black — two colors. But there's also a bonus objective about trim or lining or something that uses a third color. I used white lace as trim, and suddenly I had three colors represented.
Wait, actually — let me make sure I'm not misremembering. I think what happened was: the commission has two mandatory colors (red and black), but if you add a third color for the bonus objective, it counts toward the achievement. Or maybe the achievement counts ANY third color, even if it's not required?
Honestly, I'm not 100% sure of the exact mechanics. All I know is: I used three different colored fabrics on Masquerade Ball, and the achievement popped.
So my advice: just use three different colors. It's that simple.
📝 Step-by-Step Method
- Pick Masquerade Ball — it already requires 2 colors (red + black), so you only need one more
- Pick your main red fabric (I used Brocade Red — dramatic + formal, perfect for masquerade)
- Pick your main black fabric (Velvet Black is the obvious choice here)
- Add a third color fabric — I used Lace White as trim, which adds elegant + romantic
- Make sure each color is actually present in a meaningful amount (not just a tiny thread)
- Complete the commission normally, and the achievement should pop
😅 What I Did Wrong (So You Don't Have To)
- I was trying on single-color commissions first. Why? I don't know. It's called Color Virtuoso, obviously you need a multi-color commission.
- I thought the third color had to be a REQUIREMENT. Nope — you just need to use 3 colors that all satisfy... something. I think.
- I kept using 3 fabrics but they were all the same color. Facepalm.
💡 Pro Tips
- Masquerade Ball is the easiest commission for this — start there.
- Use white lace or tulle as your third color — it works with almost any style.
- The three colors don't all have to be "main" colors — trim and lining count too.
- If it doesn't work on your first try, add more of the third color. Maybe it needs to be above a certain percentage?
