Requirement: Own at least one of every fabric in the catalog.
Fabric Collector โ own at least one of every fabric in the catalog. This is one of those achievements where you're like "I've got tons of fabric, I must be close!" and then you realize you've been missing one this whole time.
For me, that fabric was Silk Gold. I just couldn't figure out why it never showed up in the shop. Turns out, it's story-locked behind Golden Jubilee, which I hadn't done yet because I was too busy trying to collect fabric.
The irony was not lost on me.
๐ญ How I Got This Achievement
I got this one pretty late in my playthrough, and honestly it was Silk Gold that was holding me up. I spent hours checking the shop every single day, convinced it was just on a weird rotation schedule.
Nope. It just doesn't exist until you finish Golden Jubilee.
Once I finally did that commission and Silk Gold appeared in the shop, I bought one bolt (just one โ it's expensive!) and the achievement popped right there in the fabric shop. I may have done a little happy dance.
I think I had all the other fabrics already from just playing normally โ buying them as I needed them for various commissions.
๐ Step-by-Step Method
- First, play through the main story. Most fabrics unlock naturally as you progress.
- Upgrade your tailor shop โ higher levels unlock new fabrics in the shop
- Level 1: basic cottons and linens
- Level 2: lace, chiffon, and more variety
- Level 3: silks and satins start appearing
- Level 4: velvets and premium fabrics
- Finish Golden Jubilee โ this unlocks Silk Gold, which is the one everyone is missing
- Check the shop regularly and buy at least one of each new fabric as it appears
- Once you own at least one of every type, achievement unlocked!
๐ What I Did Wrong (So You Don't Have To)
- I was checking the shop every day for Silk Gold before I had unlocked it. Wasted so much time.
- I was buying way more fabric than I needed. You only need ONE of each type to count for the achievement.
- I sold old fabrics to make room in my inventory. Don't do that! You need to OWN them, not have owned them at some point.
- I ignored some of the rarer fabrics because they were expensive. You gotta spend money to make money... or in this case, to get an achievement.
๐ก Pro Tips
- Silk Gold is almost always the last one. If you're missing one fabric, it's probably Silk Gold. Go do Golden Jubilee.
- You only need to own one of each. You don't need to use them or have them in a dress.
- Don't sell your fabric! Keep at least one of everything.
- Some fabrics are only available through specific story events โ don't skip commissions.
๐ฏ My Honest Opinion
Difficulty: โ
โ
โ
โโ (medium)
It's not hard per se โ it just takes time and knowing the unlock conditions. Most people get stuck on one specific fabric (almost always Silk Gold) and think there's a bug. There isn't. You just haven't done the right commission yet.
